Having taken an online TEFL over 1 year ago, I wasn’t sure what to expect with regards to my own memory, what my confidence would be like when teaching young Thai kids with the absolute most basic English skills, etc. I can wholeheartedly say that after the 2-week extension course, my self-belief and abilities were like they have never been.

[Our instructor] made the course fun, understandable and engaging, and took time to help us overcome our own personal doubts and grow as trainee teachers. I had an amazing and memorable experience training through Destination TEFL. At first, I was very anxious, as to be expected. Leaving your home country to live in another is scary as hell, but the team made me feel extremely welcomed and at ease… Assisting and guiding us every step of the way and teaching us about Thai culture.

This course is intense but so rewarding. It challenges you, gets you out of your comfort zone, helps you to think more critically, and ultimately opens up your mind to a world of possibilities. Seeing the smiles on the faces of the little ones when they got a high five, aka, a correct answer, was priceless.

Outside of the classroom, I got to meet new and amazing friends. We supported each other through the anxious times, shared stories, and ultimately had an absolute blast of a time. One important thing we took from this course was to have fun, and that we did!

Great course which I couldn’t recommend more to anyone thinking about moving out to teach English in Thailand and becoming an EFL teacher. The course has taught me a lot about teaching, classroom techniques and increased my confidence hugely.
