Teaching Practice
Real classrooms, real students.
Every Classroom Apprenticeship trainee teaches real Cambodian students — not classmates, not a simulation. From week two, trainees are in front of a class, delivering lessons with full support and feedback from their trainer.
Child’s Dream Community School
One of two main teaching practice partners hosting trainees for observed, supported lessons with real students.
Savong Organisation Cambodia
One of two main teaching practice partners hosting trainees for observed, supported lessons with real students.
Trainees also teach at a small number of other schools in Siem Reap as part of the programme. This is where the 25+ teaching reps and the 4,518+ verified teaching hours come from — logged, observed, and fed back on by our trainers.
Beyond the Course
Project Starfish & Child’s Dream.
Our relationship with Child’s Dream Community School goes further than teaching practice. Through Project Starfish, our trainees and the wider Destination TEFL community have contributed to curriculum development, infrastructure improvements, and a redesigned two-week teaching experience at the school.

Where Our Graduates Go
Cambodia first — with reach beyond it.
Teaching practice is only part of the picture. Once trainees graduate, our placement network connects them to teaching opportunities across Cambodia — our primary market, and the one we know best.
150+ Schools Across Cambodia
Built over years of relationships, from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and beyond. No degree required.
Thailand, Vietnam & Indonesia
For qualifying graduates (degree required), our network extends into these three countries as well.
The 150+ figure describes our Cambodia network specifically — the market almost all trainees are placed into. Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia are a genuine but separate part of what we offer, not folded into that number.
