To legally live and work in Indonesia, you will need to make sure that you are on the correct visa for whichever stage of your time here in Indonesia you are. Your visa status is your responsibility. As with any country, visa rules and regulations can change at any point.
You can travel to Bali, Indonesia without a pre-approved visa and get a tourist Visa on Arrival (VOA). We would however suggest you do apply for a pre-approved B211 visa prior to arrival which will avoid you having to do visa runs.
**If you arrive in Bali with a Visa on Arrival, you’ll be required to do a simple visa run/ border-hop to a neighbouring country i.e. Singapore and re-enter Bali on the correct Work Visa once a job has been secured. More information is further below.
When you enter the country with a visa on arrival – if asked for your reason – it’s for tourism.
Introducing the Short Course Visa
The Indonesian Government has recently introduced a new visa specifically tailored for participants of short courses like yours. This visa has been implemented to ensure proper visa usage and prevent any misuse of the tourist visa, which is solely intended for tourism purposes. As a registered training provider in Indonesia, we want to equip you with the knowledge needed to navigate this process effortlessly.
Duration of the Short Course Visa
The new visa, categorized as B211, allows you to stay in Indonesia for an initial period of 60 days. However, the great news is that you have the option to extend your visa for up to 6 months, giving you ample time to fully immerse yourself in the course and explore the wonders of Bali, Indonesia.
Cost Breakdown
Now, let’s discuss the financial aspect of obtaining the short course visa. Below is a breakdown of the associated costs:
- Initial 60-day visa: 3,000,000 IDR (approximately $200.00 USD)
